| The British Columbia Fibromyalgia Society has recognized the need in the community for awareness of Fibromyalgia, especially for those people recently diagnosed and their families. We regularly present a 2-hour Education Meeting that features an introduction to and explanation of FM, its effect upon those who are diagnosed with it and their families, and what resources and treatments are currently available. This is an excellent opportunity to get in touch with the network of people with FM. At times we also invite guest speakers from the community and abroad to present their information at our meetings.
These meetings are currently held on the third Tuesday of every other month (except July, August and December). Doors open at 6:30 pm for membership purchase and product sales, the presentation is from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, with time for questions. The meetings are currently held at the Royal Columbian Hospital, Sherbrooke Centre, Lecture Room #1, 260 Sherbrooke Street, New Westminster, British Columbia. There is always an updated phone message on our answering machine regarding the meetings as there may be last minute changes. We may be reached at (604) 878-7707.
