We're inviting our community, and yours, to join the #Plank4ME challenge in support of the Open Medicine Foundation's current research campaign.
How it works:
Take a photo or record a short video (no more than 15 seconds and 100 MB) of yourself planking in support of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis research. You can see a video example here.
If a plank isn't accessible to you, that's completely fine. You're welcome to lie down on the floor, a couch, or a bed instead, and simply say you're "planking" in support of ME research. There's no wrong way to participate, and no pressure to push past what feels safe for you.

A few details:
No donation is required to submit a video or photo, this is about raising awareness, though you're welcome to challenge friends and family to donate to OMF's campaign if you'd like.
More campaign information may be found here.
Campaign donations may be made here.
By submitting your video/photo, you're giving the ME|FM Society of BC permission to use it to support the current OMF campaign.
Submission deadline: October 31, 2026, giving us time to compile submissions into a shareable video ahead of the campaign's December 31, 2026 close.
How to send your video/photo:
Upload it here or email it to humanresources@mefm.bc.ca.
Challenge your friends! Once you've submitted your video, tag a few friends and ask them to plank (or lie down) and donate to the OMF campaign too!
